Philosophical Leadership

Philosophy—both its tools and theories—can help leaders of organizations improve their confidence, their approach to managing corporate culture, and their overall leadership capabilities. My approach to leadership training is informed both by philosophy and my experience working in private sector firms and as the Chief of Staff to a founder and CEO. Click below to learn more.

Philosophical Consulting

One the biggest contemporary risks to organizations—perhaps most especially technology companies—lies in the area of ethical risk. Failure to identify and address the ethical risks posed by your firm’s technologies, services, or marketing, or the risks posed by unethical behavior or poor organizational culture, can lead to significant reputational and financial risk. But there are ways to mitigate this risk. Click below to learn more.

About Me

I completed my Ph.D in philosophy at MIT in 2009, and my Certification in Philosophical Counseling with the American Philosophical Practitioners Association in 2011. In 2008, was a Summer Associate Research Fellow at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government, Carr Center for Human Rights Policy. In the past, I’ve worked as Chief of Staff to the founder and CEO of an ethics and compliance consultancy, and on communications and corporate culture issues at the world’s largest technology-driven investment manager. I live in NYC with my wife and children.

Philosophy Tutoring

In my experience, early exposure to philosophy can help high school students develop useful cognitive and scholastic skills that can contribute to success in college or university, future employment, as well as on standardized tests such as the SAT. I offer programs designed to help improve critical thinking, argumentation, reading, and writing, with eye towards these goals. I also offer help with essay writing and philosophy tutoring for college and university students, as well as options for introducing children to philosophy. Click below to learn more.

As long as I draw breath and am able, I shall not cease to practice philosophy, to exhort you and in my usual way to point out to any of you whom I happen to meet: “Good Sir, you are an Athenian, a citizen of the greatest city with the greatest reputation for both wisdom and power; are you not ashamed of your eagerness to possess as much wealth, reputation, and honors as possible, while you do not care for nor give thought to wisdom or truth, or the best possible state of your soul?”
